Collecting Reality Fracture

Reality Fracture is the most treatment-heavy Magic set in years. Jace’s Echoverse does not just change card text — it changes how cards look, how they feel, and how many copies exist. This page is the collector’s desk: what each treatment is, which products hold them, and which chase items justify opening a Collector Booster instead of a Play Booster box.

The four things every collector should know

Bloodline Recollector is the serialized headliner. 500 double rainbow foil copies in throwback full-art frame, English only, Collector Boosters of any language. Not a card you crack packs for — it is a pull notification.

Shattered mirror cards (13 total: 5 rare, 8 mythic rare) show a famous Magic card colliding with its Echoverse rewrite on the same frame. Non-foil in Play and Collector Boosters. Facet foil in Collector Boosters only, English only, approximately 6,000 copies per rare and 3,000 per mythic.

Borderless echoed pairs (30 cards: 10 uncommon, 14 rare, 6 mythic rare) are two-card diptychs where the Multiverse and Echoverse versions of the same character form one battle scene. Available non-foil and traditional foil in both booster types.

Japan Showcase (10 cards) uses a hobby-shop frame. Traditional foil and fracture foil in Collector Boosters only. Japanese inside Japanese Collectors, English otherwise.

Shattered Mirror Cards

Shattered mirror cards are the narrative centrepiece of Reality Fracture’s Booster Fun programme. Each shows a famous Magic card alongside its Echoverse counterpart. The published examples include Enlightened Confidant and Enlightened Confidant (Hexhaven version) and Stingcaster Mage and Stingcaster Mage (Stingcaster version).

There are 5 rare and 8 mythic rare shattered mirror cards. Non-foil versions appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Facet foil treatment appears only in Collector Boosters and is always English. The facet foil makes the split-reality artwork shimmer in a way that paper cannot quite reproduce in photographs — the treatment is worth seeing in person at a game store before deciding you need it.

Do not conflate shattered mirror cards with echoed pairs. Echoed pairs are two separate cards in the same booster slot. Shattered mirror cards are one card with two frames of art on one physical card.

Borderless Echoed Pairs — the diptych treatment

The borderless echoed pairs are 15 art diptychs (30 cards): the Multiverse and Echoverse versions of the same character combine into one horizontal battle scene. Chandra’s fire counterpart crashing into her ice counterpart is Wizards’ published example. Each set of echoed pairs includes 2 cards of the same rarity.

There are 10 uncommon, 14 rare, and 6 mythic rare individual borderless echoed pairs cards. Non-foil and traditional foil versions appear in both Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. The diptych layout is the collector reason to slab these rather than play them — the art is designed to look incomplete without its pair.

Braintwister Series

Braintwister series cards (23 total: 5 uncommon, 15 rare, 3 mythic rare) are borderless unreality art treatments for some of the set’s most mind-bending cards. The Theorist, Jace Beleren and Theorist’s Sanctum are the published examples. Non-foil and traditional foil in both Play and Collector Boosters.

Sculptor’s Stronghold Cards

Sculptor’s Stronghold (25 total: 18 rare, 7 mythic rare) feature a special tower frame that captures Jace’s Echoverse aesthetic. The cards show the apex of the Theorist’s tower and the magic that surrounds it. Non-foil and traditional foil in both booster types.

Japan Showcase Cards

Japan Showcase (10 cards) reimagines cards from Reality Fracture with artwork inspired by Japanese hobby shops, complete with a special card frame. The Founder Sphinxes of Hexhaven — Aerid Konstrari, Denzilore Fatehold, Ingris Stingerquill, Kwia Vigorbloom, and Uldaros Theorix — each received a Japan Showcase version.

Traditional foil and fracture foil Japan Showcase cards appear only in Collector Boosters. In Japanese Collector Boosters these cards are always in Japanese. In non-Japanese Collector Boosters they are always in English. This is the only Booster Fun treatment where language depends on which Booster Box you bought.

Special Guests — 10-card panorama

Special Guests (10 cards, all borderless, illustrated by Marina Banker) form a 10-piece panorama depicting the most stunning and terrifying elements of the Echoverse. The panorama is designed to wrap on itself: each card has two adjacent cards it can sit next to, letting you place your favourite card at the centre.

Non-foil Special Guests appear in Play Boosters. Traditional foil Special Guests appear in Collector Boosters. The set code is SPG. Cards are older-format legal in the usual Special Guests way — confirm on format legality before registering for Standard.

Borderless Portal View Lands

Reality Fracture contains a new cycle of portal view lands (5 rare), depicting the cadets of Hexhaven looking back at their Strixhaven counterparts. The five allied-color pairs match Hexhaven’s skeleton: white-blue, blue-black, black-red, red-green, green-white.

Available non-foil and traditional foil in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. These are the only rare land treatments in the set; there are no enemy-color borderless duals announced.

Borderless Tower Basic Lands

There are 15 tower basic lands (3 different artworks per basic land type), depicting the Theorist’s tower spiralling upward. Each land type makes a 3-card vertorama (vertical panorama). Available non-foil and traditional foil in Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and Bundles. Traditional foil tower basics are also available in Secret Lair Bundles.

Secret Lair Bundle Promo Cards

The Secret Lair Bundle includes 2 of 10 traditional foil Secret Lair Bundle promo cards — hyper-stylized re-imaginings of cards from the main set. The 10 cards are not a mechanical set; each is an individual treatment. Unlike web-exclusive Secret Lair drops, these promos are also available at game stores and TCGplayer, not only on the Secret Lair storefront.

Buy Secret Lair Bundle for: two Collector Boosters plus the 10 unique promos in one purchase, without committing to a full Collector box. If you want only the promos, buy singles after October 2.

The products page has MSRPs. The buyer guide matches SKUs to player type. Neither page will tell you that Collector Boosters are good value for building a Standard deck — they are not.

Serialized cards

The only serialized card in Reality Fracture is the double rainbow foil Bloodline Recollector in throwback full-art frame. 500 English copies in Collector Boosters of any language. Mechanically identical to the non-serialized version. If you open one, congratulations — that is a five-figure pull if graded correctly, and a story you will tell at every Commander table for years.
