Reality Fracture Guides

This hub is the map for every how-to on the wiki. Reality Fracture is still an upcoming Standard set, so the useful questions are calendar questions, product questions, and mechanic questions — not day-one metagame snapshots. If you are new, start with the getting started guide. If you already know the story beat, skip to prerelease, draft, or Arena.

What these guides cover

Reality Fracture (set code FRA) is the climax of Magic’s Metronome arc. Jace Beleren rebuilt himself in the Meditation Realm, took the title Theorist, and constructed the Echoverse: a reproduction of every plane with Phyrexians, Eldrazi, and Nicol Bolas excised from history. The tabletop street date is October 2, 2026. Prerelease is an in-store week from September 25 through October 1. MTG Arena and Magic Online add the cards on September 29.

That schedule creates a tight cluster of player jobs:

• Understand echoed pairs before you open your first Play Booster, because every pack contains a linked Multiverse / Echoverse duo.
• Learn Hexhaven so the five allied-color schools and the returning Prepared mechanic make sense in Limited.
• Choose a store and a format using prerelease and how to draft.
• If you play digitally, follow Arena instead of waiting for paper.
• Read the mechanics guide for Prepared, Exhaust, the Lotus token, and dual-land teasers.

The updates hub holds the calendar and SKU list. The tier list hub tracks spoiled cards without pretending the full set is spoiled. The tools hub is for buying decisions and format legality.

How to use the pages together

Read in this order if you have one evening:

1. Getting started — what the set is, what is already spoiled, and which product matches your play pattern.
2. Release dates — prerelease, Arena, Commander Party, Reality Echoes, Spotlight events.
3. Echoed pairs — the pack gimmick that changes both Limited signals and collector math.
4. Either prerelease or how to draft, depending on whether you prefer Sealed or Pick-Two.
5. Mechanics so Exhaust and the Lotus token are not surprises in a Sealed pool.
6. Early card rankings only after you know the mechanic names, so the list is not just a pile of mythics.

Same-hub pages cross-link on purpose. The draft article points at Hexhaven colors. The Arena article points at format legality. The echoed-pairs article points at Chandra and Garruk. You should be able to bounce between those pages without returning to the home page.

What we will not do in these guides

We will not invent unspoiled card text, fake YouTube IDs, or a complete 300-card visual spoiler. As of late August 2026, about 21 cards sit on Scryfall for FRA and FRC. That is enough to explain Prepared, name the five schools, and rank what is public. It is not enough to publish a locked Limited tier list. When official debut day (September 8) and the Card Image Gallery fill in, the spoiler tracker is the page that grows first.

We also will not treat Foundations Commander Decks as Reality Fracture Commander product. They share a street date. They do not share the FRC code. The distinction is spelled out in the product lineup and the Commander page.

Related reading outside this hub

Story-first readers should open The Theorist, Jace and the planeswalkers roundup. Collectors should open the buyer guide before they duplicate SKUs. Tournament players should bookmark format legality so FRA, FRC, and Special Guests do not get mixed up in decklists.
